According to Mercedes-Benz records, a total of 830 280SL classics were manufactured in 1971, the last year of production. It is estimated that no more than 10% were RHD, making this rare car 1 of only 87 made that year. Finished in Anthracite with Wine interior this 280SL runs and drives beautifully. We sourced this classic from a client who has pampered the car for years, and it is only due to a relocation to the continent that he has decided to offer it to the next custodian. Currently undergoing a fettle from Hemmels, this car has previously had an engine rebuild and restorative works completed by a reputable restorer.
