Hemmels is thrilled to present this exquisite early 1968 Mercedes 280SL Pagoda, RHD, Automatic, presented in Horizon Blue with a Navy MB Tex Interior.
Originating from an exclusive private collection and having been owned for 20 years, this Pagoda has been meticulously cared for, accumulating very little mileage since its acquisition and only driven on the most beautiful days. Upon inspection, the underside of the vehicle is exceptionally clean and impressively solid. It is noteworthy that the replacement sills installed in 2007 appear as if they were fitted just last year!
Accompanied by a Matching Hard Top and a comprehensive history file, this is a remarkable example with invoices tracing back to the 1970s.
We possess detailed records of expenditures with Roger Edwards, a Mercedes specialist. This Pagoda drives beautifully, shifting smoothly through the gears and features a lovely stainless exhaust (which has also been recently replaced).
We have documentation of restoration work dating back to the early 1990s, along with a complete repaint in 2007. The chrome detailing is outstanding.
